Renate"Nadi"Wesley has been painting since 1995, and has since produced over 100 works of art. This self-taught artist had her first solo exhibition in 1998 and has shown many times since. You may have seen Nadi featured on "Regional Contact" or "L'Art Floral". She is a a member of the Gloucester Art Council, the Manotick Art Association, and "On Common Ground" Studio Tour Group. Nadi has exhibited for the last 4 years at The Ottawa Fine Art Festival as well. Nadi's idealistic style uses wonderful colours to portray scenes from nature and life. "I love to paint places where I'd love to be. The natural world around us has so much beauty, so I like to capture it to enjoy anywhere, anytime. " Nadi's oil paintings are colourful depictions of florals, landscapes, and more recently, antique cars. Her idealistic style has earned her much praise and loyal fans. Nadi also paints with watercolours in her own unique 'organic abstract' style. These pieces have been very popular and quickly snapped up by collectors. No matter which medium Nadi chooses to use, she is always comfortable and most happy with a paint brush in her hand. "Just let me paint, and I'll be happy" has become her motto.
